Mercedes-Benz AMG V-8 Engine Honored At 2010 Awards
June 29, 2010 – Signal Hill, Calif. – Mercedes-Benz of Long Beach confirms, Mercedes-Benz AMG 6.3-litre V-8 engine was praised at the “International Engine Of The Year Awards” for 2010.
The award-winning AMG V8 was praised for its efficient engine, which gives out a maximum torque power of up to 630 Nm and offers a power rating of between 457 hp and 525 hp. This engine commands several AMG models such as C63 AMG, E63 AMG and the SL63 AMG.
The "International Engine of the Year Awards" held in Stuttgart, Germany is among the most prestigious honors in the automotive sector. An independent jury made up of 76 engine journalists from 35 countries awarded the most efficient automotive engines.
“The AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine managed to beat off prestigious rivals, which demonstrates Mercedes-Benz expertise in developing and producing exhilarating high-performance engines,” said General Sales Manager, Ray Burke.
