November 1, 2011 – Signal Hill, Calif. – Mercedes-Benz of Long Beach is excited to confirm, Mercedes-Benz collaborate with RENNtech & Company to build a lightening fast SLR.
This unique partnership has turned a rare McLaren SLR into an incredibly fast piece of machinery.
“The joining of these companies makes for a rather exciting end result,” said Bob Milner, General Manager. “The final product speaks volumes of what a Mercedes-Benz is capable of.”
Exotic Boutique, RENNtech, Platinum Motorsport and MACarbon have joined forces to produce an SLR that will make its appearance at the upcoming SEMA show. This is after this special SLR has put words to action after it showed what it can do at a drag strip.
The builders added to the already aggressive-looking SLR a Mansory Renovatio body kit with matching 20-inch Agetro M140 monoblock rims. To adjust the stance for particular ride heights, a KW coilover suspension with a hydraulically adjustable height kit allows variations in a 45 mm range. But to back up its aggressive stance and looks, RENNtech supplied an upgraded supercharger kit that boosts horsepower to 770. This upgrade has enabled this super Mclaren SLR to hit a 10.29 second 134 mile per hour run.
